How to Spend a Day in Camden, NJ
Take the first ferry of the day out of Philadelphia and ride over to Camden. Once you arrive, take a stroll along the waterfront and enjoy views of the Delaware River.
Grab a bite to eat from Bain’s Deli. Select from a variety of breakfast items, hot sandwiches, wraps, bagels, and more.
Located next door to Bain’s you can find the Adventure Aquarium, one of the top rated aquariums in the Northeast. Discover unique exhibits around every turn as you explore the underwater world with over 15,000 aquatic animals. You’ll experience exciting attractions, like the Shark Bridge, Shark Tunnel, and touch tanks.
Take a walk through the Camden Children’s Garden, located just a few blocks from the Ferry Landing. The garden features interactive exhibits, rides, and educational programs for children of all ages.
Before heading back to the landing to catch the last ferry of the day, stroll over to the Walt Whitman House to see the home of the famed American Poet.
How to Spend a Day in Philadelphia
Arrive on the first ferry of the day at the RiverLink Ferry Landing in Philadelphia. Take a stroll along the Delaware River waterfront and enjoy the views of the Ben Franklin Bridge and the Camden Waterfront.
Visit the Independence Seaport Museum, located adjacent to the Ferry Landing. The museum features interactive exhibits and historic ships, including the USS Olympia and the submarine USS Becuna.
Enjoy lunch at one of the many dining options in the area. We suggest checking out Reading Terminal Market, an indoor market with over 80 vendors offering a diverse selection of food and drink options.
Take a walk through Independence National Historical Park, located just a few blocks from the Ferry Landing. The park features historic sites such as Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and the Benjamin Franklin Museum.
Visit the National Constitution Center, located on Independence Mall. The center features interactive exhibits and educational programs about the history of the US Constitution.
Before heading back to Camden, stop for ice cream at Franklin Fountain, an old-time ice cream shop serving up classic flavors and creative sundaes.
